Stefano Amerighi Syrah spotted in NY State

|

At a great little Italian restaurant run by Francesco Buitoni (yes, sono buoni!) in Red Hook (Dutchess Co.) we were surprised to see the Stefano Amerighi Syrah from Cortona on the wine list!

A little pricey at $70 a bottle, but good to know it is there if we need it.

Florence Cooking School

cooking-school-florence.pngIf you are in Tuscany and want to take a cooking class in Florence, as a tourist, amateur, or professional, the Scuola di Arte Culinaria Cordon Bleu of Florence is a great choice. The school has been run by our friends Gabriella and Cristina since 1985 and was recently completely renovated. You can take a course for a day, for several weeks, or several months. The instruction is in multiple languages and the teaching staff is of the highest quality. Highly recommended.
